HI, I'M JACKIE
I LOVE TAKING PICTURES OF PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY PEOPLE IN LOVE. PHOTOGRAPHY IS MY PASSION. MY FAVORITE PART IS CAPTURING THE LITTLE DETAILS, THOSE CANDID MOMENTS THAT CAN BE MISSED IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. THIS IS WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO!
MORE SPECIFICALLY, I'M NATIVE TO THE ALAMO CITY AND MOM TO THE FLOOFIEST DOG, DUNCAN. SAN ANTONIO IS MY HOME, BUT I'VE ALSO LIVED IN AUSTIN AND HAWAII. SCROLL DOWN TO LEARN A BIT MORE!
Did you know I grew up working as a carnie? My grandparents got started in the carnival business in the 60s, mostly with prize winning concessions like basketball games, water races, duck ponds, etc. To this day my dad spends the majority of the year traveling around the country going fair to fair with our games and when I was younger I would spend the whole summer + weekends working in the games myself! The goldfish game was my favorite.
DUNCAN THE FLOOF
When I was 4, I decided that Old English Sheepdogs were the cutest fluffiest dogs in the world - this was due to watching things like The Little Mermaid, Hook, and 101 Dalmatians. I made an executive decision when I was 15 that one day, when I had my own house with a fenced in backyard, I would finally get an Old English Sheepdog. In 2016 when I was back from working in Hawaii, I got him! Meet Duncan, my goofy floofy Sheepdog :)
ALOHA & MAHALO
I started my post college photography career back in 2014 in Hawaii! I was hired to work as a photographer on a cruise ship with Norwegian Cruise Line and the ship sailed out of Honolulu and around the main 4 Hawaiian Islands. It was in Maui where I shot my first wedding, but I spent a lot of time shooting adventure style photo shoots with couples and families on the Big Island and Kauai. I miss it!
